ABOUT: in Kris Lamba's words: ‘I take all the recycled foam packaging we get here at the studio and reconstitute it into blocks using organic glue. I then distill orange and lemon rinds into a really potent solution and use that to carve/etch into the foam. When I’m happy with the form I put hot wax into the cavity and then pour it out, gradually building up the thickness with layers. The last step is using more of the Orange solution to dissolve the outer layer of foam and clean up the wax forms. The waxes are then cast in bronze directly with investment and polished. Because the waxes are destroyed in the process each one is completely unique.’
