Cumulos is a family of hybrid luminous objects, situated at the crossroads of sculpture, meteorology, and sensitive electronics. Inspired by cumulus clouds — those suspended, ever-shifting forms drifting across our skies — each piece emits a soft, evolving light that feels almost alive.

Crafted from brass, steel, and opaline PMMA, these oval volumes house an ESP32 circuit that drives a constellation of NanoLEDs. Connected to the Earth’s latitude and longitude, Cumulos generates a luminous atmosphere that evolves in real time, in sync with the natural rhythm of the day. From dawn to dusk, from misty blues to golden twilight, the light traces the invisible path of the sun.

More than an object, Cumulos becomes a temporal interface — a poetic mediator between interior space and the planet’s rotation. It does not illuminate but envelops, inviting us to slow down, to feel the passage of time as light, color, and presence.
