Willy Daro ()

Willy Daro worked in Brussels from the late 1960s on. Owner of Les Nouveaux Ateliers Willy Daro, his pieces are characterised by his eccentric, modern and bold style. He is particularly well known today for his lamps, which often combine brass or chrome with natural materials such as agate, semi-precious stones, coral or shells, and which sometimes take on botanical sculptural forms. His 1970s designs are famous for their Brutalist style and Daro's inclusion of fossils and minerals in each piece. Sophisticated and luxurious, each design is also a unique piece of art.
