Oscar Torlasco (19342004)


Oscar Torlasco was an Italian lighting designer who worked notably for Esperia, Stilkronen and Lumi. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s he designed a variety of lighting products including chandeliers, lamps and sconces. His style ranged from Industrial to Space Age, and he used a variety of materials such as marble, brass, crystal and chromed steel. He is particularly famous for his use of optical lenses within his designs. His lights are highly sought after by collectors today.
