Max Ingrand (19081969)
A famous French master glass worker and designer, Max Ingrand held the position of artistic director of Fontana Arte from 1954 - 1964. During this period, he produced numerous design classics, some of which are still in production today. Having studied at the school of Fine Arts in Paris, he specialised in decorative arts under the guidance of major artists such as Jacques GrĂ¼ber and Charles Lemaresquier. During his career he not only designed the most beautiful lights and glass objects, but also a number of magnificent stained-glass panels for religious buildings, hotels and public places. His outstanding creative output earned him the French Legion of Honour.
